The Sterling Individual Savings Account (ISA) offers your client the investment potential of the world's major stock markets with the flexibility to invest lump sums or regular monthly amounts. The investment is managed by some of the UK's leading investment managers.
Its aims
The ISA allows your client to invest in the world's major stock markets without paying tax on their investment. Your client can spread their investment across a number of funds from several different leading fund management groups.
As your clients investment outlook and objectives change, they can switch their investments between funds at a minimal cost. They can invest a lump sum or a regular monthly amount, adding to or reducing their investment to suit them within the ISA limits.
Your client can access their investment by cashing it in as they need it, by taking an income, or by taking regular withdrawals. If your client should die, there is a 'no loss' minimum return.
Investment
Initially, the minimum lump sum investment is £3000 and your client(s) can make additional investments of at least £1000. The same minimums also apply for ISA transfers into the Sterling ISA. The minimum regular investment is £100 a month or £50 a month if in addition to a single contribution. Monthly savings amount may be increased, minimum increase amount is £25. Lump sum investments must be made by cheque and regular investements by Direct Debit. Your client can reduce their monthly investments subject to our minimum at that time.
Risk
With any stock market investment the value of the client's investment is not guaranteed and its value and any income it produces can go down as well as up. Depending on investment conditions at the time your client could get back less than was invested.
